"Sustainable Beekeeping - A More Natural approach"
Focused on alternatives to chemical treatments, through management and equipment options (IPM). Main topics include, understanding mites cycles, alternative treatments, Top Bar Hive (TBH) Beekeeping, comb management and strategies, and understanding the bee's natural life cycle. This is part classroom, and part hands-on in a bee yard.

Annual Picnic
Hosted by Bjorn Apiaries (Mike Thomas) and Oxbow Apiaries (Shawn Moyer). Open to all beekeepers and their Families. Starts at noon. Please RSVP. Bring your favorite chair, a covered dish, and a bee veil if you want to check out some bees in the mating yard. Hive demonstrations and a good time to be had by all! Held at Honeycomb Farms.
